FAMILY LAUGHTER
The Handsome Segura Men
Mason is excited to get back into the dating scene. Here he is practicing, "putting out the vibe."
My cousin, Jesse, always makes me laugh. I don't know what it is...but she constantly cracks me up!
We tried to get a photo of all the grandkids. It didn't go very well. Please note that little Kate has her fingers crossed...mid cry. Apparently, getting your picture taken is a pretty traumatic experience.
I am pretty sure I have the best sister-in-laws on earth! My brothers lucked out...BIG TIME! No pressure, Mason and Cameron.
Mom and Dad can't even control their own kids. And we thought the grandkids were bad. What can I say, we like to have a good time.
"I have learned that the ability to laugh at everyday family difficulties helps keep life in perspective. If we will learn to laugh and play more with our families, not only will we feel better but so will they. 'A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.' Proverbs 17:22. Studies show that humor and laughter help people live longer, happier lives; be more creative and productive; and have more energy with less physical discomfort. Humor reduces stress, fear, intimidation, embarrassment, and anger. Laughter also has extraordinary healing power. When a person laughs, blood pressure decreases, heart rate and respiration increase, the body releases endorphins, and depression declines. After laughter subsides and you relax again, that good feeling has a lasting effect, even until the next day. Not many medicines will do that."
-Gary K. Palmer, "The Power of Laughter." Ensign, Sep 2007
{Thank you to Missy and Stu for the above pictures. Love 'em!}

UNCLE MASON
Uncle Mason is back and ready to play! Here are a few pictures of the babies seeing him, for the first time, in two years. We also snapped a few pictures of Mason reuniting with big brothers, Spencer and Stu. Everyone got into town the day after Christmas and it was so fun to have the entire family together, again.

CHRISTMAS EVE
My family has two Christmas Eve traditions; we have Chinese food and we sing...A LOT. We just love singing around the piano, and this year was no exception. We were invited to the home of the Spencer Family and had a wonderful time. Every Christmas, my Mother organizes and leads a youth choir, for our church. My brothers and I have fond memories of singing in the choir. The best "perk" is that all the Segura children can perform, on command. Below are a few videos of Mason and Cameron singing some songs with the Spencer kids. Mama arranged the music and wrote the lyrics to these songs. I didn't record any of the songs in their entirety. (Drat!) However, you'll get the general idea. Listen closely, to the words and the melody. We get a kick out of it. Then, again, we think we're funny.
Mason and his ukulele, with Nana (our maternal Grandmother) is sitting at his right.
Thank you, again, Spencer Family, for opening your home on Christmas Eve. We had a wonderful time!

UGLY
Jennah and I went to an ugly sweater party, while we were home, in Glendora. Nothing says, "Merry Christmas" like tacky sweaters and old high school friends. We were quite proud of our outfits, since we threw them together, last minute. I was especially excited about my fancy red bow, fashioned by the one and only, Laura Ellis.

RETURNING WITH HONOR
Elder Mason Segura was scheduled to arrive at the Ontario Airport, on December 17, 2009 at 6:00PM. He had been serving a two year mission, in Pittsburgh, PA for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and we could hardly wait to see him. We were accompanied by wonderful friends; the Holmes, Russell and Willet families.
His flight was delayed an entire 26 minutes.Mom got a little anxious when we learned we would have to wait an additional half hour.
So did I.We finally saw him!!!
Mom was the first, to get to her baby boy.
He is the same Lil' Mase! Look at that face!
First stop on the way home from the airport...? In N' Out!!!
WELCOME HOME, MASON! WE ARE SO VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!
{Thank you to Kim Holmes & Jodi Russell for being our airport photographers.}
