Virginia is for Lovers

I have officially left Virginia and would be lying, if I didn't admit the move has been bittersweet. I absolutely loved living in the DC area, the past five years. I had some of the best, and worst, experiences of my life and wouldn't trade one second. I made lifelong friends, experienced heartache, heath scares, grew professionally and met the wonderful CKB on my doorstep!!!

The past five years, specifically the past five months, have strengthened my testimony of the role our Heavenly Father has in guiding our lives. When we take time to be kind, to pray, to listen, to study and to serve others, we are richly blessed.

I will always miss the relationship I had with DC and Virginia. However, without getting too personal...it's safe to say, the new relationship in my life greatly outweighs any infatuation I might have had with my once bustling life inside the Beltway.

My last few days in Virginia were spent meandering along King Street in Old Town

Stopping by my favorite house. Doesn't it look cozy?

Visiting my ward building, which sits on a perfectly serene spot, overlooking the Potomac.

Going on one last walk along the Potomac

...and sharing hugs, lunches, dinners, laughs and tears with people who mean more to me than they will ever know.

Goodbye Virginia. You taught me well.
